The relationship that Pandora and Prometheus' story has with life experiences is quite common.

By moving past the unnatural incidents said and done in this myth, we can find a meaning behind it.  In this myth a man gets ensnared by a woman's beauty and takes her in. The woman, not able to handle her inbred curiosity, opens something she shouldn't and unleashes terror on mankind.

The myth's scenario is something that would not happen as commonly now as it might have happened in olden times. Even in this era, though it does not happen commonly, men do get taken in by a womens' charms and get married to her( similar to taking her in or under his care).

Though the fact that the woman is the reason why their future together is wrecked is sexist and not true. By this part of the myth, it is easy to guess that the myth is from the past eras as at that time women were thought of as lesser beings and property. Nowadays, it is more likely that the male and the female are equally responsible for the drifting apart in their entwined lives.

This myth is a typical stereotype of women- portraying them as wicked or frail. It is considered sexist in this era and also how the general population believed women to be, in the past centuries. It is only in the last one or two centuries that this mindset has been changing for the better.

Theseus and Minotaur's story includes two different life experiences.

By moving past the supernatural beings found in this myth, we can interpret the meanings in it.  In the first part of the myth, Theseus acts like a true hero and saves his homeland from being ravaged by King Minos to feed the Minotaur. He accepts the challenges thrown at him and with cunning gets himself out of all the situations and also the situation with the Princess.

The 'sacrifice of yourself to save someone else' is something that happens everyday somewhere in this world. Even in this era, it is still going on,not exactly in the same context, not really with their life on the line, but it still happens.

In the second part of the myth, Theseus acts cunningly and rids himself of the spoilt princess by going around their agreement.  As the agreement was for him to take her along so that people can admire her beauty, it did not specify where to leave her and the way the agreement is taken care of. This is not a typical life experience for people, though it maybe something that upper class people go through with their stuck up and spoilt children. Once in a while these children might be put down a notch, not for long, by someone in anything. These two scenarios are similar, but not on the same wavelength. In a way the Princess was put down a notch by the well- played trick by Theseus.

This myth does portray quite a lot of meanings, but these two are the main ones.
